Composites for Bolide edge mk3

DFM Technologies made a substantial contribution to speed increase and weight optimization of the new racing Bolide edge mk3 of the TUW Racing Team of TU Vienna.

With a maximum degree of molding skills and precision, DFM's experienced team developed and milled various tools for composite elements of the Bolide.

The tools for the composite elements such as the upper surface of the spring body, the locker damper, the radiator bracket, the seat core and the steering strut of the Bolide have been designed to achieve extraordinary rigidity and also extremely low weight of the composite elements. With perfect tools, DFM Technologies provided a basis for the aspired weight reduction and increased maximum speed of the Bolide. Also considering safety, reliability as well as profitability, DFM Technologies met the expected high standards of the TUW Racing Team.
